Welcome Valued Cisco Shareholders,
In accordance with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission rules, we are using the Internet as our primary means of furnishing proxy materials to shareholders. Therefore, most shareholders will not receive paper copies of our Proxy Statement and our Annual Report to Shareholders.
We instead will send these shareholders a Notice of Internet Availability with instructions for accessing the proxy materials and voting via the Internet. The Notice also provides information on how shareholders may obtain paper copies of our proxy materials if they so choose. This makes the proxy distribution process more efficient and less costly and helps conserve natural resources.

About the Notice of Internet Availability of Proxy Materials
The Notice of Internet Availability of Proxy Materials instructs shareholders how to access and review the information contained in the proxy materials and how to vote via the Internet, by mail or in person. The Notice contains:
Importantly, the Notice of Internet Availability will contain a 12-digit control number that recipients will need to access the proxy materials, to request paper or email copies of the proxy materials, and to vote their shares via the Internet or by telephone. For this reason, we suggest retaining the Notice through the date of the annual meeting.
The Notice of Internet Availability of Proxy Materials is first being mailed to shareholders on or about September 26, 2012.
